BALLYLIFFIN GOLF CLUB
Tel: +353 74 9376119 Web:
www.ballyliffingolfclub.com
Ballyliffin Golf Course has wonderful
views
of the Inishowen peninsular. It is also the most northerly golf club in
Ireland. It has two 18 hole courses, and caters for all abilities including
the levels of Nick Faldo who played the "Old Course" the weekend before he
won the 1993 Carrolls Irish Open. The new Glashedy links played from the
championship 'Tiger' tees (7,102 yds) is a real test of golfing skill.
Ballyliffin has a super clubhouse, bar and eating facilities with showers
and changing rooms. Visiting golfing groups and societies are always
welcome. Reservations are however usually necessary at weekends.

Some other useful links
for anyone coming to this part of Ireland
|
|
Try our Ferry! We'd like you to know about the Lough Foyle Ferry
which makes it so easy to pop over from NI to us. It runs once every hour and cuts off a long road journey. So, if you are exploring the North Coasts of County Antrim or County Londonderry why not pop over to see us? Only £15 return
(£10 single) for a car and passengers. |
|
If you are coming to us from
Northern Ireland why not enjoy
this lovely approach via the Lough Foyle ferry between Magilligan Point and
Greencastle? We are only 27km (17 miles) or about 35-45mins by car from
Greencastle. Do check before you set off though in case there are problems
with the weather. See the ferry's link & phone
number in the Contacts table below for more information. See the
above link for the route from the ferry to
Rose Cottage
Riding School
|
|
|
On the
way back just see how easy
access to the ferry is at the lovely port of Greencastle! Just drive
on and drive off; save a long detour via Derry and for a few minutes enjoy
the lovely scenery on the way over. Money well spent. |

IS YOUR INTERNET
SPEED A PROBLEM?
Our
web site makes extensive use of photographs and a fast Internet connexion is
clearly desirable. If the speed of your Internet connexion is making some
of our pages rather too slow to view and you are unable to move to
a faster and possibly more expensive Internet link, then a cheap
Accelerated
Software
solution from a company like
On speed
(or others) might be able to help. For only a modest annual payment of
about 30 Euros (£25), such an approach can be used to improve speeds, sometimes by x5
or even up to x10 in some dial up cases, and it can improve both
Dial-up and even current Broadband speeds too. What's more, the approach has even won plaudits
from the computer press. Obviously, we at Rose Cottage can make no guarantee as to use or fitness for your purpose, but you might like to
go to http://www.onspeed.com for more
information. If doing that does speed things up for you, we really
do hope you'll use your new
'whizzo' speed to keep coming back to us to see how we are doing...! We
hope we have been of help. |
