* The Driving Class is a class for showing horses that are suitable for driving. They are not shown being driven.
March 2008 saw two more wins at Greenacres by Rose Cottage Riding School's Sam McDermott riding Zuko, and as well as this her sister, Ashleigh, took two awards on her horse Whisper too!. Here are some pictures of the judging of Sam's event and of the proud winner. Sam was awarded trophies for winning both the In Hand Coloured Class and the Ridden Coloured Class and she also took the Winning Rosette for the Coloured Championship. Judge Clive Johnson is seen here making the award.
As we have said, Sam wasn't the only one to take away a prize from the Greenacres Show in March. Her sister Ashleigh McDermott came second in a field of ten in the Family Pony Class and her friend Scarlett Harkin, a Rose Cottage Livery owner, riding her horse Joey, came 5th in the same class! Not only that but Ashleigh was also chosen as Reserve Champion in the Family Pony Championship. Well done Ashleigh
Rose Cottage Riding School's
Assistant Instructor Sam McDermott won the Ridden Coloured Section on six year old
Zuko at the
Greenacres show in Convoy, on 1st September 2007.

Zuko was a fairly new addition at Rose Cottage last September. He is 6 years old here, 15hh and, since coming to Rose Cottage in 2007, he has become rather spoilt!! He has unusual eyes, one brown and one that's half brown and half blue and is adored by all.
